If you've made it through your first six courses at Athena Academy, you already know that astrology is far more extraordinary than memorizing the meanings of signs, planets, and houses. Now comes the part Meredith has been so excited to teach you!

In 2027, we're going to take everything you've learned and connect the dots. We're going to uncover hidden patterns, understand relationships between the planets, and interpret a natal chart as a living, breathing story of someone's life.

Anyone can tell you what Venus in Scorpio means. But what happens when Venus in Scorpio sits in the fourth house, squares Saturn, and trines Neptune? How does that combination influence someone's emotional needs, relationships, fears, gifts, and choices?

THAT is where astrology gets fascinating!

This is the year you move beyond memorizing individual placements and begin understanding how the entire chart works together. You'll learn to recognize which patterns matter most, reconcile seemingly contradictory placements, and discover the deeper story connecting the pieces.

Regular classes meet Sundays at 11 AM Pacific via Zoom, with each class lasting approximately two hours. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

You won't simply be told what a placement means. You'll learn how to think through a chart, decide what deserves your attention, connect seemingly unrelated details, and communicate a meaningful interpretation.

Your Pathway to Athena Academy Level One Certification

The Athena Academy Level One Certification Program is a ten-course journey spanning 2026 and 2027. The six 2026 courses provide your foundational coursework, and the four 2027 courses complete the required curriculum.

To graduate with your Athena Academy Level One Certificate of Completion, you'll need to complete all ten required courses and pass the final assessment.

Your final project gives you an opportunity to demonstrate what you've learned. You'll submit a recorded natal chart interpretation of three to five minutes, showing your ability to identify important themes, prioritize meaningful patterns, connect planetary stories, and communicate a clear interpretation. Meredith will personally review your work and provide individual feedback.

With your Level One certification, you'll have a foundation to help you take the next steps toward your dream of becoming a professional astrologer. Graduates will also be able to apply to become alumni guest lecturers for the 2028 Athena Academy program.

Advanced Techniques 200: The Art of Planetary Synthesis

January 3 – April 11, 2027 | 11 Classes | Individual Tuition: $699

We already know what the planets represent. Now we're going to discover what happens when we combine a planet with its sign, house, aspects, and evolutionary purpose. Instead of simply identifying a Mercury sign, you'll learn to understand an entire Mercury story: learning, communication, strengths, insecurities, and what shaped the way someone thinks. We'll approach every major planet this way. Each class builds on the last until we can bring the stories together. As your understanding deepens, you'll rely less on memorized descriptions and more on your ability to recognize patterns, make connections, and interpret what the chart is really saying.

This is what we've been building toward! Each week, we'll randomly select approximately two consenting student charts for in-depth exploration. Meredith will demonstrate how she begins, what catches her eye, and how the story unfolds. Then you'll have the opportunity to contribute your own observations.

To have your chart considered, you must attend live and volunteer. Everyone can learn from the demonstrations, whether their chart is selected or not. Watch the interpretive process unfold in real time as separate placements become a cohesive story. Learn to recognize what matters, connect the dots, and communicate your understanding with greater confidence.

Two hours of astrology, friendship, and FUN! We'll meet live on Zoom and randomly pair students in breakout rooms to exchange natal chart observations, practice interpretations, and learn from one another. It's not a test. It's a chance to celebrate how much you've learned, put your skills into practice, and enjoy the company of fellow astrology lovers.

Your Final Assignment: Bring the Chart to Life

Video submissions due October 10, 2027

To qualify for Level One certification, complete all ten required Level One courses and submit a recorded natal chart interpretation of three to five minutes.

This isn't about reciting everything you know. Meredith wants to see you identify what matters, prioritize strong themes, connect planets, and communicate a clear, meaningful story.

Meredith will personally review your work and provide individual feedback. If your video exceeds five minutes, you'll need to resubmit it within the required time limit.

This is your opportunity to demonstrate how far you've come and put your developing interpretive skills into practice.

December 12, 2027: Level One Graduation Celebration

You've put in the work, developed your skills, and brought the pieces together. Now it's time to celebrate! Join Meredith and your fellow students for a special gathering to recognize your achievement and celebrate the friendships you've built along the way.

Students who complete all ten required courses and pass the final assessment will receive their Athena Academy Level One Certificate of Completion by email. With your permission, we'd also love to recognize graduates on the Soul Navigation and Athena Academy websites.
